A very simple recycled project that I have done over the past days during the long holiday. Am just using the plastic packaging on bubble envelopes and some magazine's papers for the project. Cut the magazine paper in size of 4cm width and length to be the same as the plastic bag. Fold the paper to half and attached to 1 side of the bag using double sided tape. Punch holes in the middle of the clued paper. And that's it, you can use it as file index to store your papers, photos, cut outs etc.

It was such a long time that I have not seen such blue sky and cottony clouds. Maybe I have not notice the sky since my 20's after started working but now I always look up and see what's the weather for the day when I want to go out shooting. Looking at the sky now, it felt just old days...when the days I love to day dream and stare at the sky....

Lomography

First experience on taking lomo picture using Kumo San, a birthday gift toy camera that I received early this year. I used it during my last trip to Melbourne in mid May and captured some of these pictures. They are cross process from Kodak Chrome Elite Extra Colour positive film. Colours are abit funky but this is how lomo picture suppose to be and they look really interesting.

I got this cute little toy camera from my sister as birthday gift before she departed back to Melbourne. It's called "Kumo San", an Ultra Wide & Slim film camera from SuperHeadz in sky blue, my favourite colour. ;) All made of plastic, very light and pretty easy to use, just load 35mm flim and start to snap pictures.

Very exciting with this new toy and guess it will start my adventure world of lomography soon once I got the flims to work on it. ;)

I went to 佛光山东禅寺, Dong Zen Temple at Jenjarom for picture taking. We reach the temple at around 6.30pm and miss the opportunity to shoot the flowers at day lights. So I just shooted some with the lights sparkling at the background to show the silhouette flower patterns.

Your camera is broken

Someone commented on my picture saying that why my picture was not clear at all at the background. She even commented that my camera is broken thus affecting the quality of the picture taken. I was speechless when I heard this. :) Is it really that my camera has broken? Well, I must say that she don't have knowledge of a DSLR camera functions and even no photographing view at all.

Photograping is very individual, each person has his or her own style of picture liking. For me, I love pictures with bokeh background. The more blurer the merit for me. Bokeh or blur background will enchance the object that I want to capture and it will make that object to be more outstanding when view. To achieve these bokehness, I used to set my camera aperture to the biggest. Does this mean that my camera is broken? :) I think you should have the answer.

I have not been very productive lately. So, I decide to make more crafty items whenever I'm on leave and off from work.

These are 3 set of bookmarks that have been clipped with note pad that made from rescued envelopes. I cut the recycled envelopes to rectangle shape notepad and stapled them to cute stock card bookmarks. It could be slotted in the page and at the same time short note or remark could be written on the notepad as references. Quite a handy and cute bookmarks to use.

These bookmarks will be given away as PIF listing in my Little Teeth Shop. What I collect from the listing is just USD0.20 as the listing fees and of cause the shipping fees. If you are intested, just visit my shop for more information.

I didn't notice the little boy when I took the picture. But after I download it from my camera and looking back at the picture thru outly, I noticed the expression of the little boy that stand in front of the model. He gave me a "Wow" face and mades me wondering "Is she pretty?" Is she? Well, just take a look at the next picture and find out the answer.

Well, she is pretty though.... :)

Since I bought Canon EOS 1000D, I have been searching Flickr for photo inspirations and always come across a term "Bokeh". I was wondering what's this word means. I search Wikipedia for the answer and it says :

" In photography, bokeh is the blur, or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light."Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye, while others produce blurring that is unpleasant or distracting— "good" or "bad" bokeh, respectively. Bokeh occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions.

Bokeh is often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it is often associated with such areas. However, bokeh is not limited to highlights, as blur occurs in all out-of-focus regions of the image.

The term comes from the Japanese word boke (暈け or ボケ), which means "blur" or "haze", or boke-aji (ボケ味), the "blur quality". The Japanese term boke is also used in the sense of a mental haze or senility.

The English spelling bokeh was popularized in 1997 in Photo Techniques magazine, when Mike Johnston, the editor at the time, commissioned three papers on the topic for the March/April 1997 issue; he altered the spelling to suggest the correct pronunciation to English speakers, saying "it is properly pronounced with bo as in bone and ke as in Kenneth, with equal stress on either syllable". Bokeh replaced the previous spelling boke that had been in use at least since 1996, when Merklinger had also suggested "or Bokeh if you prefer." The term bokeh has appeared in photography books at least since 1998. "

Desk stand display board

Every year I received desk calender like this free from our company's suppliers. It has a very strong cardboard bounded stand to support as the backing of the calender. But this calender become useless after the year is gone. Such a waste just to throw it away and I actually has been keeping quite a lot of them and thinking that it surely be useful one day to me.

Now, I have use one of my old desk calender to make it to a desk stand display board. It's easy to make. Great for displaying small little goodies on your shelve, desk or any where. If you have old calender like mine, make use of it to become display board instead of just throw it away. Be green and be creative.

Instructions for making the desk stand display board
Materials : Any size of the old desk calender, styrofoam (small piece that could cover the calender stand will do), fabric of your choice, scissors and cutter for cutting, glue and staple for assemble the board.

Step 1 : Tear off the old calender sheets. Leave the stand ring on the board to prevent it to fall apart.

Step 2 : Measure the size of the hard stand of the old calender and cut the styrofoam as 1/2cm smaller than the stand. And also cut the fabric 2 to 3cm larger than the styrofoam as it need to cover to the back of the styrofoam later.

Step 2 : Cover the fabric to the back of the styrofoam and start to staple the fabric to the styrofoam until all are covered tidly.

Step 4 : Glue the finished covered fabric board to the calender stand.

Finished! And you could start to display small items, favourite pictures, recipes that inspire you on the board.

5 things that I made from these old Japanese Magazine

I love Japanese fashion magazine and catalogue book. And I own quite a lot of them at home as well. They are from publish year of 1992 till now. Some very old one started to torn due to my frequence reading on them. I love to flip thru all the magazines once in a while to get inspiration on crafty ideas. I even have a stalk beside my bed that I read every night before sleep. But they are really occupied lots of my storage space. I have a very limited storage space at home. Due to this reason, I started to make use of these magazines to recycle and remake them to other usable items like :

1) Little or mini envelopes with theme. I have been cut out cute animations, pictures or advertisements from magazine to form to these little envelopes. They are really cute. Could be use for storage of little goodies like stamps, polaroid, little gift bag for sweets, earrings etc.

2) Paper punchies. After I have choose and cut out the pages for envelopes making, I use the remaining paper to punch out little shape paper punchies. They are great to use in scrapbooking, card making or decoration.

3) Shipping or gift tag. I cut out some of the nice pictures that I can not be able to make envelopes to glue to little handmade tag from cardstock to form a shipping or gift tag. They are simple and nice to use.

4) Cover for notebook. I also use some of the nice animation from the magazine to cover with cardboard to make it to a note book cover. You can see that the Japanese Charactors from the magazine has added in some unique to the notebook.

5) Collage. I tried to make use of all pages from the magazine without waste. And I use the scrap paper for my crafty collage book. All remaining of the paper cut out or pages that I find interesting, I will paste them to my collage book as collection.

I'm collecting small pieces of the magazine paper after all projects that I could make of in a big plastic bag. That will be for my next recycle project to make a whole new piece of paper. Planning of soaking all the small pieces of paper in water and blending them to become paper pulp. I have a goal to save the environment by reduce the paper wastage. Hopefully my goal will success. :)

Found this very cute video tutorial on how to make spiral paper flowers . It's a great tutorial and easy to follow. Last Friday over at lunch time during works, I made these few spiral paper flowers out of mailer postcard. Really cute, will use them to decorate my album and notebook.

Onigiri mold make it easy

I still remember when I first learn to make Japanese rice ball (onigiri) using my own hand as mold. What I had learn to make was those very traditional triangle type. Big, simple and 1 shape, triangle. :) But now, there are lots of different molds in various shape that enable you to make various shape of onigiri. Big, small, animal, round, triangle...... Just name it and you can make it from molds.

1) 4 in 1 with shape of bunny, star, flower and bear. You could make 4 one time. Size : 3 x 3 x 2cm.

2) Set of 3 animal mold with shape of doggy, bear and bunny. Make onigiri one at a time. Size : 4 x 4 x 3cm

My digital camera

I own 3 digital cameras.

1st : Kodak Easy Share CX7300.
First digital camera that I had bought. A very simple and very inexpensive one. Only 3.2m pixel, no macro funtion. Just able for me to do a very simple photo taking. Can't take any close up pictures. Thus I have not using it anymore.

2nd : Canon Power Shoot A550.
A camera that I use the most for my Etsy's shops and blog pictures. Macro function, 7.1m pixel and easy to use. I'm still using it for pictures taking. I love this one the most.

3rd : Canon EOS 1000D.
I'm kind of fancy on DSLR camera and bought myself this camera. Still in the learning progress on how to use it. It has many functions and really different from those cameras that I have used. A bit complicated but it's fun to learn new trick everytimes I used it. Hopefully, I could take good pictures out of it one day. ;)

I went to Malacca, a Historical town of Malaysia for a short trip. It's an 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca. I love these red buildings that builded by Dutch during their colonial time and never been bored visiting these red buildings everytime when I was at Malacca.

My new recycled mailer envelopes notebook

I have just created this little eco friendly notebook. It was made from recycled mailer envelopes that I received everyday from my work place. I cut the envlopes to 8 x 8cm squares, made 2 hard covers and used book binding rings to join them up. The cover was made from recycled cardboard covered with old magazine pages. Contain 80 sheets which comes to 160 pages of paper with one side plain and another side printed with mailer security prints.

And I'm happy that it has been mentioned at Calico & Co. Go visit her blog, you could find more of these type eco friendly stationeries that you will amaze of.

Bought a letter making template the other days and tried on making these little envelopes yesterday using light weight colour papers. Pretty easy to do using the template. And I like the texture of the envelope's paper, it has little paper or gold flakes on it due to the handmade nature. I will be selling them at a set of 10pcs of each colour at USD1.00 at Little Teeth Shop. You could actually use them for gift tags or label tags or as storage for your card, photo or little goodies.

DIY Japanese stickers earrings

I saw those lovely Japanese candy sticker at book shop the other days. I love these Japanese candy stickers especially those with cute shapes and nice colours. But I always think why the makers don't make them into cabochons so that I could DIY them to cute accessories. These stickers are hard coated and gloomy at night, such a waste for just use on scrapbooking or decoration. Moreover, I don't scarpbooking. Looking at the sticker sheet at my hand at the book shop, a quick idea ran thru my mind. Why not I make them to stud earrings? These little size and the quality of the stickers should be able to become an earring. And here they are, a result from my experiment of using the sticker to become earrings. It's not hard to make, what you need is patient, time and the love for crafting when making them.

A Simple DIY Instruction - DIY Japanese Stickers Earrings

1) If you have those stickers like what I have as per picture above, you can use them for making the earrings. Only hard coated, resin, epoxy or acrylic stickers could be used in this projects.

2) Soak the stickers in hot water. Yes, hot water but not boiling water please. Soak it about 1 or 2 mins.

3) Rub the back of the sticker that have adhesive on slowly. The process of soaking and rubbing the adhesive might take some times. Repeat the process if the water get cooler. The rubbing process only could be done if the water are still warm.

4) After all the adhesive on the back of the stickers has been rubbed off. Let it dry.

5) Using strong glue for metal and plastic to apply on the stud and stick it to the sticker. Follow the instruction on the glue label before apply. Let it the stud stand for a while for the glue to dry up totally.

6) And there they are finished and ready to be wear or give away as gift.

Little key ring memo pad

This is made from plastic charm for curtain garland, scrap papers and key ring. Simple DIY projects that to reused the scrap papers and reduce the rubbish. It could be use as key chain to store your keys and at the same time be as a handy small writing pad. Or you could just hang it in your bag for easy usage when needed. I have a simple DIY instruction on how you could make it. Try it out, it's a fun project to do.

DIY Instruction

1) Materials : 2 plastic charms, pencil, scissors, cutting knife, scrap papers, hard card stock or carton cardboard (You can use cereal box or other packaging box), hole puncher and key ring.

2) Trace the pattern of the charm to hard card stocks or carton carboard.

3) Using cutting knife to cut out the pattern. Keep the cut out pattern, it will be useful and could be made to other project. I will shown what it could be made out of in my next DIY project. What we need now is the mold of the pattern to trace papers.

4) Using the card mold that we have made to trace the pattern to scrap papers.

5) Cut the pattern out and punch a little hole at the middle of the paper. If possible mark the place to punch same as the hole at the charm.

6) Lastly, just thread all the cut pattern papers and charms to a key ring.

I'm now experimenting crafts here and there. I have lots of ideas running in my head and just need to find time to make them work. Some trying has fail and need some fine tuning, but some did work out well. However I'm still not quite satisfy with the results, I guess I need to find some solutions to fine tune them.

These are two new brooches from my crafty experiment. I upcycled some key chain charm on this project. Seem quite fine to me, but..... I don't know, just somethings that seem not quite right.... well, I will figure it out later.

Just have a tea break and listen to my ramblings. ;)

I have been getting very busy and tied up after I opened up online shops. I just don't have enough times and sometimes feel really tired. However, it's kind of enjoyable and I'm kind of liking it. Some people will ask, won't you miss your social life just being at home, online and working? Well, I'm a loner and I love to stay at home, I don't like to spend times with friends. Weirdo person of me huh. :) Some people will ask, how could you just stay at home all day? Won't you feel boring? (Asked by my sis.) Well, not at all, I got tons of things to do at home, I even don't have enough time. So how will I be boring then. :)

For your curiosity, These is how I spend my times,

1) Weekdays from Monday till Friday :

- Wake up around 7.30am. Wash up and online for about 30mins. Dress up to work.

- Reach office around 8.30 to 8.40am. Start my usual routine work till lunch of 12.30pm.

- Lunch in at the office. Online till lunch break finished at 1.30pm.

- Continue routine work till 5.30pm.

- Head over to my mother's house for dinner and leave around 7.30 to 8pm.

- Reach home around 8 to 8.20pm. Do some quick house works, chit chatting with husband and online at around 9pm till 11.30pm. If there is order, will do packing and ready to bring to post office the next day. I usually go to post office after work before going to my mother house.

- Head to bed around 12am, read some crafting books and watch some TV programme here and there for about 15mins. Usually sleep around 12.30am.

2) Saturday

- Wake up around 8 to 8.30am. Wash up and online for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Went out for breakfast with husband then. Go to post office if there is any parcel to send, shopping for a while and lunch as well.

- Back home after lunch around 1 to 2pm. Clean up and do some house works.

- Go out again around 4pm to source products for my online shops.

- Dinner outside and back home around 7 to 8pm.

- Rest, shower and watch TV for about 1 to 2 hours. Online again or sometimes crafting like making jewelry, accessories or bags.

- Head to bed around 12am, read some crafting books, watch TV or chit chatting with husband before sleep.

3) Sunday

- Usual, I will wake up around 8am. Wash up and online for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. And will cook breakfast then.

- After breakfast, break and relex for a while. Taking pictures for my online products about 1 to 2 hours.

- Download those pictures, editing and online for awhile. And it's about lunch time of 12 to 1pm.

- I will either cook lunch if I have times or husband will pack home, depends.

- After lunch, I will nap for a while if I'm tired or crafting if I'm not.

- Cook dinner at around 5pm if I'm not going to my mother in law house. If yes, usually we will go to her house at around 6pm and back home around 10pm.

- Online till 11.30pm and head to sleep at 12am.

See, I'm such a busy bee! Right? :)

Paper tie for gift bag

I love to keep left over from my crafty projects from paper, fabrics, lace, ribbon....even some food packaging, brochures, magazine cut out....etc. I just kept them and always think that they would be useful one day. However, I kept too many of them and my work room is now almost over floated with small pieces of things here and there. :) The picture shown one corner of my work room with items I put on the tray in front of my laptop. These are just tiny part of them, I still have loads around on my cupboard, shelves ..... :) Really a messy room, I just don't have much time to tidy it up.

I am now starting to use those tiny treasuries of mine in my recent DIY projects and found that they are really fun and interesting to do. Just like these paper ties that I hav just made from left over small piece of papers from my previous "Window Decor" DIY.

It is made from the left over paper strip, thin wire (0.3mm) and glue. Just apply glue on the paper strip, place the wire at the 1/4 portion of the paper, fold the paper half and let them stick together, let dry overnight. That's it, so easy.

I have used these ties on my Etsy products and they look so nice on the gift bags. Those gift bags are made by me as well. They are plastic bags that I selvage from bubble envelopes that I used for packaging. Just cut off the label on the top part, stick a lace deco tape and that's it, a useful gift bag. :)

Window decoration

I'm selling these light weight crafting papers in my Supplies Etsy Shop and always wondering how it could be used for any of the crafting projects. Then, one day when I was browsing thru one of my Japanese crafting catalogue book of "Couturier", I saw a picture of this paper folded window decoration (As picture below). I decided to try to make one myself (without any instrution guide and just based on the pictures.) using those light weight crafting papers that I have. After some try and errors, finally I got the right pattern and the finished project is not bad though and looks pretty when decor on the window.

This is the finished window decor that I had made. I have to take the picture in this manner due to my lousy camera disablility to take the picture when it was sticked on the window. :(

I have the instruction on making this paper folded window decor as below. Try it if you like. You can use other light weight papers instead of those that I sell like colour tissue paper or tracing paper as long as they are light weight. Enjoy the project and happy crafting.

Handmade table lamp

Out of the blue, hubby made this table lamp. He used wain rack and texture paper for the making. It's just a simple lamp but look really nice when the light is on. He so love of it that he put it on top of our bedroom's television set and open it every night. I like the paper texture and kept few small pieces of them for my future crafts usage. ;)

Recycled paper pencil and instructions

A new recycled paper project that I have just made, "Recycled paper pencils". These pencils are made from magazine cut out. You could actually use newspaper to make this pencil but I find that using newspaper will be abit tedius and dirty. It would be easy if using magazine cut out and the effect and texture are more prettier than from newspaper. A very easy, economical and fun project to do.

The pencil feel just like normal wooden pencil that we used to use. Even, it is lighter and the paper texture of the pencil give you a more comfortable grid and nice to hold. I have made few for myself and already started to use them.

Just love the texture of these left over sisal from the sharpen edge, just thinking what can I make them to. Just thinking....maybe I will create something out of them. :)

I have wrote a simple instruction for this project. Just try to make them if you like to. You could make it with your kids as well, just make sure they can handle cutter well. If you have a very sharp sharpener, you could subtitute the cutter by sharperner. But I find that sharpener could not give me the good result and I prefer to use cutter.

My WIP knitted bag

WIP-Yellow 2x2 ribbing bag, originally uploaded by cottonbud_design.

A WIP of my new bag. It's knitted in 2x2 ribbing on the body, while the handles are hand sewn cardboard with vintage fabric. I love the pattern of the fabric, it's very oriental and remind me of those curtain that my mum used to put on the windows. :)

The bag is now needed to attach with inner lining and soon I will get it done and for sales at my Etsy shop of Cottonbud Design.

My handmade flash card style notepad

I made all these flash card style notepads mainly from recycled or repurposed materials. The papers are cut from unused portion of printed plain paper from office, while the covers are cut from thick card stocks that I received from mails (backing materials from post office for my first day cover collection), covered with coloured paper and embellished with lace pattern deco tape and jewel shape cabochon. This is to save those used papers that normally throw to dustpins in my office and those card stocks that I have collected quite a number of them. I have in my mind to make them into notepads and small notebooks, however I could not be able to use them all. Therefor I have offered them at a very reasonable price at my Etsy shop of Little Teeth Shop at only USD2.75 per notepad. More to come on the samll notebooks, I'm in the midst of making them, so stay tuned.

Envelope tag bookmark

I have made some very useful tag bookmarks from used envelopes that I received everyday. They are very easy and fun to make, a good recycling project as well. I have write out the simple instruction on how to make the bookmark below. Just try out yourself, I am sure you will like them too.

Instruction to make envelope tag bookmark

Materials : Some used and clean envelopes, cutter, scissor, stickers, old cardboard or cutting mat and pencil for drawing.

1) Measure 3" x 3" on bottom corner of the envelope (You can use both bottom of the envelope to make this bookmark) Draw a line across it like picture shown.

2) Cut across the drawn line.

3) Place a sticker about 80% on the back of the envelope, leaving 20% of the sticker unstick. If you place the sticker on left of the envelope corner, you will make a side tag bookmark. If onto the right of the corner will make a top tag bookmark. So just choose a corner where you prefer your tag bookmark to be.

4) Slot in an old cardboard or cutting mat onto the opening of the bookmark where you cut it out from the envelope just now.

5) Use cutter, slowly and carefully cut across the outline of the sticker from the envelope.

6) After it is cut, flip it over to the front of the envelope. Now, the remaining 20% of the sticker will be to stick to the front of the envelope.

7) Place the remaining 20% of the sticker onto the front of the envelope and stick it.

8) It is now finished and I have made a side tag envelope bookmark. You could even write notes or remarks on the blank space of the envelope. Just slot it onto the corner of the book and it will look like what you will have as picture below.

These earrings made by me. ;)

1) Simple glass beads in the shade of pink and clear colour. Top with antique brass bead's cap and little diamond shape glass beads in the same shade and a pair of antique brass ear wire. The pretty faceted of the glass beads has gave the earrings a very spackling view.

2) Simple green faceted galss beads with kidney shape ear wires. This simplicity pattern of the earrings gave it a very clean and elegent look.

3) Porcelain beads hanging from gun metal chain to the simple ear wire. Very oriental look and it hang very pretty from ears when wearing.

Anizo charm to this cute necklace

This is originally phone charm that I drawn from a Japan toy's machine. The charm called Anizo (Japanese mode charm) and it is limited edition for year 2007. It's so cute that I decided to modify it to a necklace by added in some pretty pink glass beads to make it more cutier and prettier. The head and arms of Anizo could be moveable and it has a 24" gun metal chain that attached with an antique brass toggle clasp. The length is just hanging nicely from neck and will make a really cute match to a plain t-shirt. I have other colour and mode of Anizo, will make more necklace like this for my Etsy shop. A really handy bag

DIY Project-Envelope journal book

This is the DIY project that I mentioned earlier in my post of Recycled Envelope Book Journal. Enjoy the project.

Materials needed : Recycled envelopes in the same shape and size, ribbons, medium weight cardboard (or colour papers), carton box cardboard, paper bag (or fabric, gift paper etc), glue, tape (or binding tape, deco tape etc) and scissor.

Place the envelopes side by side and paste both the edge together using cellophone tape, binding tape or deco tape in your preferences. Paste them all together to the the thickness of the book that you wanted.

Take the measurement of the envelopes and cut 2pcs of carton cardboard and 2pcs of white cardboard or colour paper in the same size with the envelopes.

Paste the white cardboard or any colour paper to front and back of the envelopes. I'm using plain tape for pasting them together. Instead of using plain tape, you could use special book binding tape or deco tape for this purpose as well.

After that, it will become a pre-finish envelope book with white cardboard on front and back of the envelopes. These is to be attached to the journal book cover that we will now going to make.

To make the journal book cover. First of all, dismantle the paper bag to flat sheet of paper. Trying to use a big paper bag in order for it to cover the whole book later. Instead of paper bag, you can use fabric, gift paper or any other papers for this purposes.

Cut the paper in the width of (the width of the carton cardboard x 2 + allowance on the side x 2 + the gap between the two carton cardboard) and length of (the length of the carton cardboard + allowance on the top x 2). The measurement will be depend on the size of your recycled envelopes. In my case, it is (16cm x 2 + 2cm x2 + 3cm )=39cm length and width (25cm + 2cm x2)=29cm.

Apply glue to the surface of the carton cardboard. Instead of using glue, you can use double sided tape on the corner of the cardboard as well. Apply just a thin layer of glue, too much will make the paper uneven when dry.

Place both the carton cardboards that you have applied glue or tape to the back of the paper bag. Place them with the gap of same width with the envelopes that you have pasted together. Meaning the thickness of the book to be. In my case, it is 3cm.

Cut off the excess paper on the four corner of the carton cardboard like picture shown. Don't cut it too close to the carton cardboard, leave about 0.3cm allowances.

Press down all the paper bag seam to the back of the carton cardboard and paste it with glue or tape in order for them to stay in position.

Glue or patch the strip of ribbons on the center area of the journal book cover that you have done. Both of the ribbons have to be in the same position on the cover so that it will tie up nicely when the book is done.

Apply glue to the front white cardboard cover of the envelope book and place it to the carton cardboard nicely and in position.

Lastly, press the cover firmly and let it dry. It will become a envelope journal book like this after it was dried.

My new knitted bag

New knitted bag in the shop.

The handles are covered with vintage fabrics and I like the colour combination. Making this bag is not an easy task, it took me quite some time to finish it. The most complicated part is on the handles. To sew the handles to the knitted bag and sewing the inner lining to the bag made me want to cry. But I enjoy making it and it gave me satisfaction when I see the finished object.

Recycled envelopes journal book

I used to collect used envelopes from credit card and bank statement that I received to store my receipts, stamps, stickers and magazines cut outs. I just keep those envelopes in a magazine holder and always I find difficulty to keep them managable, especially when they are all in loose individual envelope and mixed up with my other stuffs in there. One day, just when I wanted to rearrange and tidy up the envelopes from the magazine holder, I found out that most of the envelopes I keep are in the same sizes and open on the same side. (I normally used scissor to cut off one of the edge of the envelope rather than using letter opener cause I wanted the envelope to be top opening in order for me to store my stuffs easily.) Looking at those envelopes, they gave me an idea to make them into envelopes journal book. In this way, I could store and search my stuffs more easily and it is more managable and more nicer looking as well. Then I started to work it out and here it is, my first recycled envelopes journal book.

It is wholely made from recycled items, the used envelopes, cardboard from carton box, paper from shopping bag, ribbon from gift that I got last Christmas. You could decorate the envelope with nice stickers, deco tape or maybe make it a collage. You even could make note on the envelopes to remark what's the stuffs you keep inside the envelopes. This is how I did for mine. It's really a great idea to recycle. I will try to write out the simple instructions next week. If you have lots of recycle items like mine and wish to make one for yourself, just stay tune for my next post on how to diy this journal book. :)

New pouch

Just a new pouch that I have been done. Pleated body with half a circle embellishment in the middle, both side having the same pattern. It's full cotton fabric with zipper. Very spacious, could be a pouch for cosmetic, for handphone, keys, coins, ipod, camera etc.

I might sell it in my Etsy shop or maybe not.... I still have some modifications need to do on the pouch. Just not quite satisfy with the outcome. Still thinking what's went wrong on the pattern. Hopefully I could be able to find a solution and made it available for sale.

New bag was made during the weekend. I upcycled a skirt to this big and spacious tote bag. The floral print on the fabric is so fresh and very summary as well, I just love the colour combination. There is modification needed to be done on the bag especially at the handle portion, I am not quite happy with the result, finding a solution for a better outcome. Anyhow, this is truly a lovely bag. I really like it and will make one for myself as well.

Lace and pom pom

Another crocheted lace that I am currently work on, pattern from a Japanese crochet pattern book that I bought earlier. Intend to combine it with gem stone to become a jewelry. Hope I could really make it a nice jewelry.

And this is a pom pom that I've made, my first pom pom though. Not a perfect one but I will try to make more in smaller size and in other colours as well. This one just a testing and the yarn is not quite suitable for making a pom pom. Will find some other better yarn for this purpose.

Made some new wristlets, this is one of those that I have made. The fabric is vintage cotton twill in red, white and yellow colourway, very Summer feel. It's an easy to use and carry wristlet, a must have item in this Summer.
